Sunday June 18th 2023 was a definite miss.

Paddy O’Connell really it’s just a nasty Tory Government mouthpiece and a Brexit dumbass.
asaltydog via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/08/23
This programme is so much better with Jane Garvey presenting! So nice to have a break from Paddy O’Connell’s sense of humour, which is generally outdated and spiteful. I like to tune in for a Sunday analysis of the day’s news but have started to dread his jokes - cheap laughs at someone else’s...Read full review »

Paddy, love Broadcasting House but what has happened to last Sunday’s podcast ? Can’t find it on BBC Sounds either. Thanks.
Galanthus41 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/11/20
This program is sunshine in audio file form. I’m from the US but my Sunday routine is incomplete without listening to Paddy, the main story, slow radio and the guest headlines. A+ podcast.

It is not a weekend without Paddy. 💕Paddy

Love this program, but a week after it’s broadcast? Give the podcast some priority..

It’s Mon 20 Jan nearly 3pm...still no podcast from Sun 19. I love this program, will have to listen on Sounds .... is that reason for being late? You want us to go to Sounds. I dislike Sounds intensely too much chat about things I have no interest in Today is Sunday 29 March ...22.49hrs STILL...Read full review »

Luckily I never have to miss Broadcasting House now that it is available as a podcast. Paddy always excellent and witty.

...but they were good. Please let us have the rest before the week is out, such a good podcast when it materialises. Thank you.

An extremely high quality podcast reviewing the past week/weekend news with both sides of the story BUT plagued by technical/human error like not posting that week’s edition or only sending out the first 7 or 8 minutes!
sco-chan via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/26/19
Please get these podcasts sorted out. They are either very late or, like yesterday's, they don't happen at all. Only 6 minutes into the programme and it cut out. Very frustrating particularly as I was driving and couldn't do anything about it.Read full review »

24 Nov episode only first 6mins uploaded, surely the BBC can check the file lengths and fix.

What’s the point of subscribing to a news podcast if the broadcaster doesn’t make it available in a timely manner? Come on BBC! Tuesday pm now , still not available, I’m de-subscribing.

Some episodes are a joy. Some are truly awful. 10 minutes chopping vegetables, and trotting out contributors promoting a book, commenting like a press release.

Sunday evening in the U.S. is a great time to listen to this program from London of interesting conversation and thoughts on news, politics, life, theatre, art ... all presented gracefully and in the best humor by a broadcaster and his guests that you'd wish you could spend lots more time with.Read full review »

Paddy, you are a truly great presenter - impeccably professional, humble, very funny and quick-witted. They should give you a knighthood for services to R4 listeners. Love this show!

Good content but hasn't been auto-downloading properly for a few months now. Very annoying glitch. I've had to manually download the episode each week.Read full review »

A charming host coordinates news resources, interesting and usually funny guests, and a few light topics to take the place of the Sunday paper over coffee and toast. Simply a pleasure

Why must we wait so long for a current affairs news programme to be made available here following broadcast - quite ridiculous. Great programme nonetheless.

This is how all news programs should be. There is humour, really insightful and infromative discussion of the news events of the day, and often some really touching commentary from the public and the guests. The only downside is that it is very Britain centric, and not really for a global audience.

Although I'm sure the listenership of radio 4 is probley not 21 I love this podcast. It is really interesting and is a great round up of all the news for the week. Whoever said licence fee isn't worth it Is mad!Read full review »

I always used to love the double act of Paddy O'Connell and Michelle Hussein on the business news on BBC TV and knew this boy would go far. Therefore I was somewhat irked when they both seemed to disappear into the void. Living overseas and having limited access to BBC programming, I assumed...Read full review »

I suppose it all depends what you want a podcast to do for you. As a Radio 4 anorak, I subscribe to a variety of R4 podcasts and listen to them on my walk to and from work. After a few months of dutifully downloading Broadcasting House, I tired of it as it genre is "up to the minute"...Read full review »

Paddy, top presenter, even better than the previous bloke who sat in the chair. Actualy, in truth they don't have chairs, the whole show is broadcast from an over size hammock, hence the name of the show. This man should have his own channel.Read full review »

I love this show - which is news as it should be: lively, informed and occasionally quirky. But too often they simply fail to get the podcast right. This Sunday's (13/5/07) consisted of 9 seconds telling you it was a BBC podcast - and that was it. Come on! it can't be beyond the wit...Read full review »
