What is Post COVID Psychosis? - Shirley McLaughlin
Listen now
Description
Shirley McLaughlin is a listener and supporter of Bunny Hugs and Mental Health. She reached out to me to find answers for her suffering husband, Dwayne. Not only did I not have answers, I had many questions and lots of them. Dwayne was diagnosed with post COVID psychosis, something I had never heard of and something I thought people should know about. Shirley is not just looking for answers but she’s also wanting to inform others of this rare condition. We discuss the speed at which it affected her husband, if it can be treated and if it can get worse. So what is post COVID psychosis and how did it present itself with Dwayne? Topics in this episode include suicide, depression, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia Please consider buying me a coffee here!  Check out the podcast merch store here!
