I listen to many podcasts across a range of topic areas and I struggle to think of another that matches the quality of the guests, conversations and production of Busy Being Black. I've been a listener since the beginning and it is consistently raising the bar, warming the soul, and...Read full review »

I’m not black but I’m learning when I listen to this Podcast as a Kweer poc. It’s apparent guest’s on this feel comfortable enough to say how they feel and in turn as listeners we get to hear something more than just the usual responses. So far I learnt who Bayard Rustin is, note the...Read full review »

I was at a live recording of one episode at the BFI in London and I thought the episode was very interesting and intelligent. While since I’m not gay or black I won’t listen to more episodes as I don’t feel that interested in the subjects covered I still think it’s a very well done podcast.

In searching for the words to describe this authentic and beautiful way of storytelling - the word that came to mind for describing this oeuvre’s embodiment was nuance. Josh tackles and highlights topics that are integral for humanity to unpick. It’s obvious that he spends enormous energy into researching and thinking through many different angles to make these interviews really speak to the soul.

Excellent podcast with a wonderful host. As a white person I know this is not made for my ears first, but it’s true that I learn so much from this generous offering to the world. 100 episodes of mind-expanding conversations – wow!

I’m a heterosexual woman with a huge interest in social justice. I stumbled upon this podcast in 2020 and I have learnt so so much not only about the adversities and triumphs of many Black LGBQTIA+ people but I’ve also learnt a lot about history in general. Each episode is not only thought...Read full review »

I simply love Josh and BBB for two reasons. Firstly, his intelligence. He is very educated and informative which is clearly visible throughout all his actions. Secondly, his commitment to treating each story for the love and care it deserves. Keep up the good work!
