Vivid Story Telling - Sad its only 8 Episodes!
I didn’t think I would be so intrigued by this story, but his subjects on his personal history of LA really sheds light on how people connect. I’ve never been to LA and I can imagine the “Kobe” throws of bundled paper being thrown into the trash. I can remember a time calling those party lines and just laughing. Hearing familiar voices of Chicano/ Mexican American voices on the phone, when talking on the phone was a thing, reminds me of my own childhood. The only caveat is the mic! The inconsistency to hear this on a car ride is horrible. I’ve gotten frustrated (and given up) to adjust the inconsistency of sound between the bomb AF music, Walter’s voice, and other voices. It’s fine if you’re hearing it with earphones, but hard in the car.
