Ep. 13
Love you guys. Your podcast remind me of early radio. You had to envision pictures and scenes in your mind. I'm a Anne and RTA fan from day one. Speaking of day one, I remember watching a 1934 B/W version of AofGG starring actress Anne Shirley. She legally changed her name, because she loved the role so much. UTube has some snippets of that movie, but I must warn you, it's 1934 style of acting. I lived in the Bronx most of my life and struck up a friendship with some RTA fans on the internet. I met a few of them and one sweet lady in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. (Google President Obama pronouncing Mississauga Hint: the U is silent.) She was hosting a field trip of the various RTA filming locations like Uxbridge, ON, where the town of Avonlea used to be and Black Creek Pioneer Village. Anyho, after 6 months of long distance phone bills ( no Skype in those days ) we got married and lived in the Bronx for 2 years. Bought a house in Milton, ON, which is in the province of Halton and lived happily for 16 year. Sadly, she passed away of ovarian cancer in 2015. One can say, "It was love of Avonlea that made me move to Canada." Your pods remind me of happier times. Must go. I'm only up to Ep. 13. and a lot of catching up to do. Kristin and Dave invite the listener to laugh, cry, and cry while laughing with them on the journey. I wish I had been here from the inception but look forward to binging...Read full review »

Thank you, Kristin and Dave, for providing such amazing content around one of my passions, AnnE Shirley (and all things Avonlea). It’s so nice to know that there are other people that love Anne as much as me. I love how they started with the original mini-series, then going through...Read full review »
