“Just read a review that Marika adds nothing to the show… simpleton! Marika’s genuine demeanor acts as the straight man role so well that this podcast honestly wouldn’t work as well without her. Sure, Geoff’s the star of the show & he has every reason to be, but Marika’s groundedness without outwardly combating Geoff allows this show to be what it is.
Every guest plays their own role, whether it be Amir as the antagonist, Faris as the creative co-producer who’s 100% in on the joke, Danny as the only guy who really fully appreciate’s Geoff’s host style, etc. Without Marika, there would be no straight character to balance Geoff’s madness. That’s like saying classic Jake & Amir episodes would be funnier without Jake… it doesn’t work.”
