“Anneewakee was not a mental institution and there were many positive’s also and yes parents could send their children there but many ended up there as an alternative to YDC ! Yes some of the ones that were molested (mostly in douglasville) I’m sure were traumatized but no more than 20% was subjected to that.
I was in Carrabelle Fla. 81-83 and Anneewakee gave thing’s and knowledge to me I’m thankful for and effective my life today positively!!
I would love to here some tell the real reason they ended up there and it was 100% their doing !!”
