Imperfect but Good
The show is an easy listen, but could use an editor as many episodes could be tighter. Also, language choice is important when reporting or storytelling on legal matters. Many of the main protagonists are still alive, so terminology has real world effects. In one episode, the host refers to two fatal shootings as “murders” ever though they were to be found legally justifiable as self-defence, and thus not, as defined in Canadian law, murders. It isn’t accurate to call someone a murderer who was defending himself from violent aggression. I’m convinced this was unintentional. A legal editor would have caught this. Kristi’s enthusiasm for the material makes it engaging. She’s a good storyteller with evident talent.
