I love the reading style of both siblings and their discussions afterward. This podcast is making my grandma happy, who always wanted me to learn more about Irish culture!

First time to listen (208) found it a bit too conversational not really telling a story found it difficult to keep up with it, will give it another go maybe it’s just this episode.

I’ve always been a lover of myth, legend, and folk stories and I’ve tried lots of podcasts that have been good but not quite what I was looking for. THIS is what I was looking for. I love the cadences of the storytelling, the mix of stories, the feeling of sitting around the fireside hearing the...Read full review »

I’ve been enjoying this show for months, but today especially it was a gift, as I’m sick and stuck at home, and the discussion of the recent Classics series made me laugh so hard I coughed. I love the retellings, and the insights into them, and the chance to learn more about these stories. Thanks!

I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this podcast. I’ve just started listening, I think I’m up to episode 20, and I can’t stop. The whole concept and format of it is so unique and engaging. The storytelling makes me feel like a kid in front of the fire in wintertime and the hosts’ educated and...Read full review »

Love this podcast, the stories are masterfully told and the discussions are fantastic. I listen all day in my studio and am endlessly enthralled. One of the few podcasts that never becomes tedious or dull.

I’ve always loved mythology and have wanted to learn more about Irish myths for a while but couldn’t find any shows. This show does a great job of telling the tales!

I’ve been binging this podcast for a while, and it always makes me smile and occasionally laugh. Aron’s sense of humor makes it all the more interesting and funny.

This is hands down my favourite Podcast. If I could listen to it 24/7 I probably would. As a child I was always drawn to these stories in school, and now hearing them with music and other dramatic elements is a shear delight.

Irish Mythology, foundational as it is to an entire era of Fantasy Fiction, is such an oft overlooked body of work, and fascinating in its complex themes. The mythology itself being an amalgamation of Celtic Oral tradition, and Christian Biblical tradition (sometimes shoehorned in as monks worked...Read full review »

A great evening wind down podcast. I’ve spent many a fantastic evening listening to Candlelit Tales while creating art to settle my mind. I recommend a listen if you enjoy getting lost in the magic of Irish mythology.

Love this podcast, it’s great to hear all the myths from childhood, plus new ones! I also like the wee chats at the end of the stories. It’s great seeing the tradition of storytelling being continued. Their live shows are brilliant too but this is my go to now we can’t get out to the pub!
