Russell Langhammer was working at the Dallas Airport during a freak winter storm when he fell and broke his back. He spent 8 years in a wheelchair after being officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998. Kevin Leeper of Ohio was on multiple medications for his MS and his weight ballooned to 300 pounds. But in 2014 he started smoking cannabis and a year later he quit all of his MS medications. MRI scans showed his lesions decreased in size, and he was able to put his wheelchair in storage and he lost about 160 pounds. While still using a walker, he says his MS symptoms are now mild.
