Country music Jimmy Butler would pretend to like
Whenever I try to share this album with my friends, I try to pass it along as “folk”. It’s probably country, but far from the overproduced stadium country that tops the charts and blares over the radio. “Live on Red Bran Radio I & II” by Tyler Childers is a great listen. Childers bares witness to the lived reality of those living in modern day Appalachia. Love and heart break, failure and triumph, simple living and complex problems that permeate every part of society. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
