Located in downtown Vernon BC, Marten Brewery and Pub open their doors in 2015. Voted as one of British Columbia’s Best tasting rooms, the space is large and open with the brewery visible from almost every vantage point in the pub. Back in 2017 I went to Denver to attend my first Great American Beer Festival. On my first night there I went to the Pink Boots Society Rare Beer event. That’s where I met Brewer Cat Wiest. At the time she was working in Santa Cruz, but then flicked me a note saying she landed a job in Oregon. I was very fortunate to visit a beautiful part of British Columbia. I traveled highway 16 in the Northern part of the Provence recently and I made a stop in the community of Terrace. I recently took a trip out of Cascadia to explore a new part of the world. I found myself in Iceland where craft beer is starting to take off in the country.
