Brilliant stories, ridiculous accents
I love this show for the fresh insights and fascinating connections it draws, for example: Britain’s failure to adopt the tank and Xerox’s inability to capitalize on the computer mouse and graphical user interface. That said, there is one aspect of this show that annoys me. Historical accounts and direct quotes are read by actors using bizarrely bad caricatured accents from the country of origin. It’s incredibly distracting and potentially quite offensive. If not for this head-scratching aspect of the production I would give this show 5 stars.

Engaging and thoughtful and not sensationalist. Thoroughly engaging.

Captivating and well executed. Only downside is the show is only about British stories, so they don’t all resonate for listeners in other countries.
