More time to interact
The At Issue panel continues to be a highlight of The National. All due respect, but Rosemary Barton needs to loosen up to let the panelists interact. A challenge with a group of A-type journalists, but surely could be negotiated.

Chantal, Andrew, and Paul are all excellent, especially Chantal. When Paul is up against his deadlines at Macleans, his spot is sometimes filled by someone who’s not as compelling, although I do also like Althia Raj, who’s up to the task more than most and willing to voice a contrary opinion. I find the pace of the discussion a breathless race to beat a time clock. It is a good show and I like the panelists but it is too abbreviated. I’d like to hear more thorough discussion and counterpoints.
