Lightning in a... Podcast
Now hold on a second. I know you see my nickname. "Great, a podcast reviewing another. What a bunch of shills," you might say. In most cases, you'd be right. But hear me out. The words I'm about to write are certified shill free. Though I am still working my way through the series, I am unequivocally hooked. ChasmQuest brought me along on an adventure into a new world with cast of misfits. "Wow that sounds like any other D&D adventure," you might say. I say to you, "open your mind!" because the adventure they lead you on is hilarious, deep, and emotional. Dungeon master Andrew has a talent for twisting mundane scenarios into hilarious and dramatic set ups for his equally hilarious and dramatic cast of players. The cast's wit, commitment to character, and openness to the world Andrew has thrown them in makes dedicating your time to listen an easy choice. As the plot advances, characters develop in turn. This is what D&D is about: exploring the whimsy of fantasy with your friends. I can't help but drive headlong into a cliche: Andrew and his cast of Rowdy Boys take you on a truly wonderful adventure filled with comedy, tension, and the willingness to try new things. Join them on this quest, even for a day or two. You won't regret it. Matthew Azzopardi Dungeon Master for RollFor PodcastRead full review »
