The Kinship and the Resistance consider each other “the enemy within” the dome, but with Joe McAlister’s help (very literally speaking), they are all soon without the dome. But the government comes in and wants to make sure that word of a thwarted alien invasion doesn’t get out to the general public. All the residents agree, and they are free to start living their lives again. Oh, did I say “thwarted” invasion? Hmmm Read more...

So, Big Jim, what’s plan B? Getting cornered in town with the kinship on all sides? Did that work better than “True Love’s Kiss” (™) on Barbie? I think not. Oh, and Barbie? Karen (and reader Barb) have no time for you after kicking Indy. I can’t even… Thanks for reading The Chester’s Mill Gazette: the only paper endorsed by Aktion Enterprises. Read more...

Our very own Horoscope columnist Karen called it! She figured out that the pink stars falling in lines that our denizens of Chester’s Mill saw was really an IMAX showing of Apocalypse Now. Or more like Apocalypse Not Really. This week, however, we discuss Jim Rennie, James Watt, and some great acting by Dean Norris (Big Jim), Aisha Hins (Carolyn), and the breaking point reached by Mackenzie Lintz (Norrie). Is our intrepid band of resistance fighters already being torn apart? Is Barbie...

Pink stars finally are falling in lines! (And kicking up ejecta.) But that’s not good news for the rest of the world. Turns out that being in the dome might actually be a good thing. Who knew! (Well, other than the alien minds taking over the good citizens of Chester’s Mill?) All this and the Barbie Of The Week in this issue of the Chester’s Mill Gazette, where our motto is “We’re the last newspaper on earth. What else are you going to read?” Read more...

While Aktion has her caged, Christine unloads a lot of what’s going on to cell-mate Big Jim. It’s pretty clear that the dome’s appearance is due to Eva and her. But the way she refers to humans as something other than herself, and keeps referring to “my people”, you have to wonder who she is now (or who she thinks she is). All this and more in this issue of the Chester’s Mill Gazette; where our motto is “Curiouser and curiouser”. Read more...

Desperate times make for strange bedfellows, and Big Jim and Julia teaming up really fits that bill. Can the two of them really take on Aktion’s finest? And speaking of bedfellows, it seem that, in one day, couples are hooking up everywhere, including an aging alien and a Junior. Was all this in the master plan? Read more...

To everything, there is a season, turn, turn, turn - The Byrds. Or Lyle. Or Sara Niemietz & W.G. Snuffy Walden. Or the book of Ecclesiastes. Barbie turns a gun on Hunter. Mel takes a turn for the better, then a turn for the worse. And it looks like Big Jim is going to turn on the Dome. And this being the penultimate episode of the season (listen in if you need the definition), we go a bit longer than usual. Consider it a fatter edition of the paper. Barbie hits some black ice while driving, sending the ambulance on its side and impaling Julia. (Now he knows how those of us who live in Atlanta feel when we get an ice storm.) Big Jim and Junior’s relationship is (back) on ice, but Big Jim and Pauline’s relationship might just be thawing. The egg arrives via air mail to Zenith, but you “can’t touch dis”. And Lyle arrives via slow boat to Chester’s Mill speaking of, what else, the End of the World(tm). Maybe that was his vision, but it...

Seems to have been a lot of red doors in Zenith. Hunter seems to have found quite a few. But only Barbie knows the right one. The White Smoke Monster seems to be lurking in subterranean tunnels, guarding the entrance back into the dome. To allow passage, you must pass his test of being subjected to past memories or premonitions. Not bad, for the price of admission. And Aktaion Energy seems to be more than “just” an energy company. They even have their own mercenaries. Sounds like the...

Lyle awakes from his mumblings only to realize that, no, the Rapture hasn’t happened. Barbie wakes up a bit to how much his dad really knows about the dome. And Julia (and Big Jim) awaken to realize that you really can get out of the dome. (But we’re not sure if that’s a good thing at this point.) In this issue of the Chester’s Mill Gazette, we discuss the techie “magic” employed, a new character who is something of a hacker with a white hat, and who might have a vendetta against Big Jim....

With Lyle, Sam and Barbie falling in lines to the town of Zenith, and Joe’s drone discovering that the pit is a portal, “Going Home” gave us a glimpse of life out from under the dome, and hope for a way out. Barbie’s past catches up to him, Sam reunites with his sister Pauline, and Lyle seems, well, fixated. Meanwhile, Big Jim is ready to pronounce Barbie dead, holding a candlelight memorial for him. In this extra edition of the Chester’s Mill Gazette, we talk to Mackenzie Lintz, who plays Norrie Calvert-Hill on “Under the Dome”. As Norrie on the show, her character has gone through quite a few changes. As Mackenzie in real life, she’s had a very interesting career. Did you catch her in “The Hunger Games”, for instance? How has being famous changed her friendships? How did a tiring day at school perhaps land her the role of Norrie? Romantic comedy or dramedy? These and other questions...
