“I’ve been a big fan for a while and though the content is great much of the time, a lot of discussion devolves into talking about life as a content creator. My favorite episodes are when Mary interviews professional musicians or when discussing fan questions. Whenever she talks with other content creator-musicians though, a large part of the conversation is about making videos, work-life balance, etc. It makes sense since these are common talking points between her and the interviewee, but at this point I’ve heard almost identical conversations about YT and “the algorithm” with different people several times. As the average viewer, I’ve begun to skip ahead whenever the discussion takes this turn. It’s monotonous and uninteresting. I don’t mean this in a negative way and I hope this is used as constructive criticism. Everything else about the podcast is great and I’m very grateful to be able to listen. Keep up the good work but just remember that the audience are content consumers, not creators!”
