“When I heard these two were teaming up for a podcast I subscribed immediately since I’m such a fan of their individual work. I projected my own hopes for the series onto them… finally a truly intelligent series on classic films (Criterion, Expressionism, Silents, and Golden Age Hollywood). I was soon crestfallen to see that the plan is actually for none of those, but instead for current releases. But I must say I am such a supporter of these two creators that I quickly came around to excitement again as I realized that by turning myself over to the podcast they choose, I may learn a lot about why younger audiences embrace the movies released today. My hope is that I come away with the same zeal for current releases that I already have for classics. If anyone can bring me around to support (and love) the modern box office releases then it is these two. I look forward to you opening my eyes. I am confident that within a year this will be a Top Five podcast in the film genre. Congratulations guys.”
