Good show but could use more research
I struggled with this review for a bit but wanted to leave feedback. I really like the show for its breadth and originality, and for both keeping me a bit more up to date on recent releases. The archival shows are also very good. Some of the special themes are great, and the production values are topnotch. (Erik has a voice born for radio. Seriously.) My main criticism is with pronunciation of composers' names, as well as outright errors and lack of details. The recent Harryhausen music show, for example, completely ignores 'Beast from 20,000 Fathoms' and 'Mighty Joe Young' and other musical endeavors that could have used a bit more attention. Instead we got way too much of Roy Budd's 'Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger.' But the errors....composer Gerald Moross? Who? (It's Jerome.) Actor Roy Snyder (it's Scheider). This comes off as nitpicky, I'm sure, but there's no good reason for such egregious errors.Read full review »

Love this show. The best part is Erik is able to share many unreleased soundtrack cues that you can't hear anywhere else. The selections are nearly always awesome, so it makes for great listening. Thrilled it's finally on iTunes.Read full review »
