“The original hosts were charming and actually made me empathetic for the city, but the roundtable has recently been repopulated with Texas liberals, whom auspiciously support equity, but unironically celebrate highway expansions and lane additions, seemingly unaware that suburban infrastructure is in direct conflict with their purported values. Old Citycast Houston made the best of the city’s wacky car-dependency and posted episodes on bicycling around 610 and the neighborhoods touched by the light rail. New Citycast Houston posts episodes on their favorite and least favorite highways and applauds new expansions to “accommodate the city’s future growth”, nevermind the scientific fact that this does not work. It’s borderline libertarian now. I miss Farrel and Lisa.”
