Great to hear voices and perspectives so often absent from the general discourse presented in an intelligent and insightful way.

This is a Sad n Tragic state of affairs. Almost like an Apartheid system. The Division of these kids n attitudes towards them inc. the Stigmas attached to them is so damaging. “keep them down, don’t let them rise up “ The adults involved are making our society a dangerous place. Only the...Read full review »

A wonderfully well presented podcast series of the not so hidden underbelly of the public education of our children in Brighton. A very challenging, well-researched and educational series - that is a must for our (recently elected) Councillors, council officers and most importantly the parents...Read full review »

I work in education leadership and have been challenged to the core by this podcast. It is brilliantly written and utterly compelling. The discussions between Carlie and Curtis after each episode have helped me unpick and think through the questions and challenges I’ve heard. There is also a...Read full review »

This podcast is so well researched and presented. Many issues close to my heart - as the only one in my family to go to university I can see the divide caused. Some of the statistics from Brighton still shocking ( and I’ve worked in Childrens public health for decades). The especially brilliant...Read full review »

Fascinating and well-researched deep dive into inequality and class division, and brought to life using a personal story of the narrator’s upbringing in a suburb of Brighton. An interesting range of local voices brings a real humanity to the academic evidence for the arguments. Very convincing,...Read full review »

A great podcast about inequality not only in the Brighton education system but across the country. Brilliantly put together.

I’m proud to be a Whitehawk resident, it’s got a lovely community feel, and I’m glad that local voices are being heard and represented on this podcast. I’ve been here almost a decade, so not born and bred but enough time to know the value of this place, and the importance of this particular...Read full review »

I wish this had been done sooner, but I’m so glad these voices are being heard now. This is such an important subject and hearing the individual stories humanises the statistics that are sometimes bandied about when it comes to east Brighton. It’s a brilliant podcast.

Well rounded insight into education inequality in Brighton & Hove. This podcast journey will hopefully open many eyes to the issues, gather more support to the campaign and prompt those in positions of influence to start the much needed change. All young people are our future.

Britain has huge levels of inequality and this is a proper grown up investigation into what are some of the reasons behind it. Listen, listen again, share it, and get involved.
