I absolutely love this podcast it’s so insightful but not too in depth or quick moving. I wish there were more! Thank you :)

Sad that I found out about this right now :( I’m enjoying the explanation of Hamlet and has helped me so much throughout my reading. Hope they come back with more though

This is an awesome way to get to know the plays. I hope Akiva Fox will do more. I promise to kick in an angel or few.

This podcast is absolutely worthy of every moment invested in listening to it. I began to listen to help me prepare to teach a high school class on Julius Caesar BUT I continue to listen because it brings Shakespeare to life and opens up understanding, meaning and appreciation for the plays in a...Read full review »

Listening to Akiva Fox's read alongs shows me how much more there is than what I am picking up seeing his plays without examining the text. I did Julius Carsar at school so thats the play I am most familiar with and it is a joy to revisit now with Akiva's inputs.Read full review »

I had the privilege of taking a Shakespeare Scene Study class with Akiva and he really know his stuff. If you really want to get to the meaning of Shakespeare's text, this is the podcast for you. As a teacher, I also definitely recommend this for the beginner to Shakespeare to help them...Read full review »

It's very rare to find exactly what you're looking for in a podcast. I've just recently decided to tackle the Shakespeare oevure, and I was looking for a podcast that could supplement my own reading and viewing of these plays. I don't know what Mr. Fox does for a living, but he...Read full review »

Mr. Fox's rigorous scholarship, plain spoken style, and delightful sense of humor make this podcast a must listen for anyone working on Shakespeare. His love for the plays is infectious even as the specificity of his analysis demands that his listeners pay attention to the smallest of...Read full review »

Fox dissects every word of Shakespeare in soothing voice. This is the real No Fear Shakespeare! The podcast's only shortcomings exist in that there are only two explained plays.Read full review »

Akiva fox manages to be entertaining, funny, accessible and highly intellectual. Huge fun. If you like Shakespeare, you'll love this. If you don't - this is a great introduction. Perfect for students, teachers, and anyone involved in the theatre in any way.Read full review »

I love the pace of this podcast. Akiva Fox delivers so much information clearly and succinctly, but the pace is still quick and upbeat. It doesn’t get stuck on so many details and so much information that the plot is lost. It’s clear, focused and exciting. I feel as if I know so much more about...Read full review »

This is an amazing podcast. Clear is the optimum word here. Akiva has managed to capture the excitement of the Bard, all the while demystifying it. This is certainly a podcast for anyone interested in Shakespeare, but I would say it is equally a good resource for anyone who doesn’t like...Read full review »

I am a high school English teacher and this podcast has been extremely helpful in preparing for our Shakespeare unit. I will also tell the students about it so they can listen on their own.

Fox is one of the most brilliant minds in Shakespeare. I was so excited to hear that he was bringing this podcast to the world because it is a perfect match. After years of being forced to learn Shakespeare, Fox’s goal is to allow you to actually ENJOY Shakespeare by breaking down each play,...Read full review »

I am so, so happy that this podcast exists. Fox has an incredible way of simultaneously demystifying and elevating Shakespeare’s language: He teaches you how to find the nuance in every line—every syllable, even—while helping you enjoy and appreciate the plays so much more than you ever could in...Read full review »

While Fox has done some incredible research and includes an enormous amount of scholarly info in the podcast, what's really cool about it is that the information is extremely practical. He demystifies the text and puts everything in its proper historical context. If you listen to this you...Read full review »
