“You mention a series of using baking soda / vinegar to clean your dishwasher. I think that in the same way you say Drano would contaminate the dishes, any residual vinegar would also have the same impact. Vinegar is the least appealing smell so does that not hold true for using it to clean the washer?
Also, the “vinegar and baking soda volcano” makes for a fun science project but the reaction of the foam is the baking soda neutralizing the pH of the vinegar, rendering it useless. The foam will also have no cleansing power due to this chemical reaction. Maybe a dishwasher cleaner would work well? Any idea about the efficacy?
Thanks! Great tips !”
