Not a county music fan but….
This podcast is outstanding. One of the best out there….and that’s coming from someone who has helped produce the best podcast in the universe….. You don’t have to be a fan of country music to get hooked on this one. It’s not my first choice either, that said….. This is my second time through since the release of the final episode of season 2, and I’m certainly digging much more out of it than I expected for a second listen. Tyler has put in a massive effort to dig out the facts, to allay the rumours and conjecture, and to lay it all out bare in a logical and thorough yet entertaining way. As a musician, his coverage of the production and arrangement “tricks” used has given me a whole new insight to the inner workings of a world of music I had never considered, and I definitely feel more enriched for it Tyler has a gift. Show him some appreciation for his incredible and dare I say timeless work.

More reviews of Cocaine & Rhinestones
Meticulously researched and beautifully produced, Cocaine & Rhinestones, presented by country insider Tyler Mahan Coe, is my new favorite podcast.

I'm not an expert on classic country music, but I've been interested in it for a while and have learned a lot from this podcast. I'd really recommend it to anyone interest in American 20th-Century Culture - it's not just for Country purists. Really good, interesting stuff.
