Great stories, well told!
I just found out about this podcast from a mention in the New Yorker magazine and have listened to the first 2 episodes. Can’t wit to plow through the next 30 . These are great stories that Tyler tells well. As a public storyteller myself, I love the way he structures them with a seeming non-sequitur of a teaser that wraps around to be the whole theme of the episode. The production values in the first two are a tad shaky here for a moment here and there, but I’m guessing that he’ll get better with experience so I can let that slide. This is not a lear, chronological Ken Burns-style history podcast, but rather a sideways look at some of the unknown stories of 20th century country music. HIGHLY recommended!

I'm not an expert on classic country music, but I've been interested in it for a while and have learned a lot from this podcast. I'd really recommend it to anyone interest in American 20th-Century Culture - it's not just for Country purists. Really good, interesting stuff.

Interesting and thorough stories about 20th century country music. Great for novice and experienced country music listeners. I look forward after each new episode for the next to be released!

Really enjoying these. Will you do one about your father, or is that too close to home?
