Engaging and Refreshing
While there are endless true crime series that focus solely on plot, Ryan Kraus's psychoanalytic lens (one of many through which these stories could be analyzed) offers a refreshing example of reading texts to find cultural/social relevance. Definitely not for everyone - but wonderful for us cultural and literary crit. geeks who are always left wanting in this 2D, plot driven world. Way to dig deep and be brave, Ryan! I normally find some of the strictly factual cold case podcasts to be a little hard to get through. I am really loving this podcast!!!! Most of the stories have been covered by one (or more) other TC podcasts, but Ryan offers a perspective on the crimes that is completely different!!!! It keeps my attention!!!! Love it!!!!
