I want to like it...
The case is fascinating. The work done on the podcast is impressive. The delivery is terrible. Our narrator’s voice inflictions and dramatic air undermine his credulity. There is a huge amount of speculation and presumption of feelings, even down to how Susan’s diary is read. This isn’t my first foray around a true crime podcast. I’m glad I didn’t start here, because it would have turned me off the genre.

I’m hooked. I followed this case but not closely. After the first episode I realized how little I knew about it. I’m creeped out by Josh’s voice and how he preyed on girls. It’s impressive how well-researched and well-produced this is. The investigative reporter from KSL spent three full years poring through records that were previously confidential, hunting down contacts of Josh Powell who police previously didn’t know about, etc. Great work!
