Joel’s great and everything he says is usually funny and on point. I wish he’d pay more attention to the interviewees though. Is it supposed to be a comic bit? Maybe these would be better as lectures.

I was excited by the premise of this podcast but the host is only interested in using his guests as a device to kick off his own monologues. I’d love to have heard any one of his guests finish a thought but he never gives them a chance. Incredibly frustrating listen

Such a feel good podcast that makes you feel like all is not lost. Thank you

This is not an interview show. The host does not let the guest say much. His guests are too polite to push in. I was surprised at the unusually long length of the podcast, over an hour. You soon learn that it is because the host cannot even edit himself post-production. Such a wonderful premised,...Read full review »

It’s an ok podcast and is well produced. However… Every time a guest is about to say something interesting, the host will usually disregard it and just say something else. It’s like they have decided what they are going to say and will steamroller anything a guest says until they’re reduced to...Read full review »

For some time I had been mourning what appeared to the demise of Rule of Three, my absolute go to pod die, which i ‘discovered’ just before Covid and consumed the lot. Well this is the able replacement, and it’s just brilliant. Joel’s enthusimgs will enthuse you too. You’ll learn about some...Read full review »

I want to love this show, but after 20 minutes of listening to the host verbally steamroll the brilliant and hilarious Sarah Kendall with his run on ramblings, I had to give up. If you want to listen to amazing guests ONLY say “mhmm, yes, right” because they can’t get a word in, this show is for...Read full review »

It takes real skill to convey to others the essence of what makes your chosen comfort viewing special. This podcast captures what makes these programs “work”, without stripping them of joy and fun. Excellent host and guests.

Joel’s podcasts are the best in his field, I think – and this is no exception. Comfort Blanket is just gorgeous, incredibly funny, and you’ll come away knowing a huge amount more about an incredible range of subjects,And with a thoroughly warm glow. It’s great.

The formula is just right, and the tone is warm, positive and very funny. The choices of comfort blankets are clever, inclusive and often surprising. The “two people chatting” format can be exhausting if done poorly, but here it’s done with curiosity, grace, respect and a big dose of...Read full review »

I’ve just binged all 5 episodes and am now feeling slightly bereft. Joel Morris has a fantastically probing mind, and a remarkably wide frame of reference. His analysis often makes me realize why I like something in the first place. He probably even did the blooming theme tune. Here’s hoping for...Read full review »

It’s a whole host of things. Interesting guests with opinions to share, Joel Morris’ fascination with every topic before him, the wide range of Comfort Blanket subjects, the ease and serenity of the chat, combined with genuine insight and analysis. It’s the best thing to happen to my Thursdays in...Read full review »

I love this series. Every podcast is full of passion and laughter. It’s one of the few podcasts that I will go back and listen to again.

Equal parts joyous and articulate, entertainment experts happily revel in the guests' chosen comfort watch/listen/read. So satisfying and heartening to hear very smart people dig deep into something to explain just why it's as lovely as it is.Read full review »

If there’s anything that Joel can’t talk about with infectious enthusiasm then it’s probably not worth hearing about :)

First episode was good.

Funny people discussing their warm and fuzzy thing is a simple and brilliant idea. First episode sets a high bar with two men who love Raiders as much as I do geeking out on it for an hour. Subscribe now - you won’t regret it.
