A blessing in these dark times
I *adore* Canadaland Commons, because it's a bite-sized, simplified discussion of Canadian politics and is an incredible tool for all my (rightfully) apathetic loved ones who are so disheartened by politics that they don't even bother thinking about, for example, what it is the senate does, or why political polls are problematic. As someone who stays informed of current issues, it's also refreshing to see complex issues talked about in such honest, accessible ways. It results in answers that are a lot more straightforward than I'm used to in the #canpoli landscape. I highly recommend it, and if you're an educator, these episodes are wonderful resources for teaching students about politics in a way that's fun, engaging and humorous (because let's face it, this country o' ours can be pretty darn hilarious).Read full review »
