Health Info Delivered with Truth, Respect, & Compassion
Jeff Krasno balances sharing cutting edge research with honoring the reality of “no one can do this 100% perfectly 100% of the time.” He chooses guests who talk about what I can do to take ownership of my well-being through lifestyle changes, rather than pushing the “pill of the week” the way so many “health” news hosts do. I write this review particularly in response to episode 544. When Being too Healthy Hurts, which is about orthorexia, a mental health issue that involves compulsion about “eating perfectly,” meaning eating “the highest quality diet.” Jeff handled the issue with his usual compassion and also told his own struggles with orthorexia. If he were only here to hawk products, he would not have created and episode about the real harm of creating stress by trying to eat a perfect diet as the “antidote” to orthorexia appears to be the “middle way,” the path of balance and internal peace. Helping people find their balance and inner peace will never make you rich because its impossible to make peaceful people buy things by making people feel bad about themselves because inner peace is the opposite of feeling bad about yourself. Really appreciate your courage for addressing this topic & consistently offering honest information that improves quality of life rather than just lightening our wallets.
