“I got a B.S. degree in Computer Science almost 36 years ago - in June of 1983. Between then and now I've done pretty much everything that you can legally do with a computer. At the beginning of my career I was doing "scientific" coding - basically code that was run from the command line to crunch numbers - in FORTRAN, and then later in C. After 10 or so years of that, I wandered (well, got dragged) into system administration and other non-coding tasks. So now that I'm trying to get back into coding doing some web development and some IoT work, I'm a complete noob - and this podcast is perfect for me. The variety of topics is excellent, and the depth of coverage for each one is just right. The two perspectives provided, along with examples of practical application to daily life is very helpful. I only wish I'd found this podcast sooner. I'm currently listening to each new one as it's published, and trying to catch up on the back catalog as time permits.
P.S.: I really appreciate the fact that these fellows don't use profanity (at least I've not heard them use any on the podcast), and that they don't stray into discussions of political issues.”Read full review »
