“I’ve been listening for about half a year and have enjoyed some episodes on environmentalism and recent omnibus laws, but her Cold War leftist allegiances are intolerable. These are facts: Guaido won the Venezuelan elections and Ortega is a dictator with near total control of the Nicaraguan media and legal institutions - even if his economic and social reforms have mostly been positive. It’s no surprise that international institutions, including NGOs like HRW and Amnesty International who are no puppets of neoliberalism, think “regime change” (implicitly and inaccurately used as a synonym for “coup”) may be necessary at this point. I understand that tolerance for dictatorships is fair to a very limited extent (if it enables stability and international peace), but I can only wonder what her level of tolerance is. She won’t tell you facts like these because the enemy of her enemy (the West) is her friend, regardless of its contempt for human rights and international law. There’s better independent media out there than the Dish.”
