“Wow, Emma’s story is both unbelievable and fascinating! And what I love most about the way her and Sarah tell the story is that it’s never about being a victim of this heartbreaking crime. It’s not even about reclaiming her power because she shows that that was never able to be taken from her. It’s about shining a light on a type of crime that happens way more than we like to think but is usually hidden in shame and going deep into the mindset of a conman to show how this could happen to anybody. “Gripping & mostly a good listen. I tripped over the (deliberate?) choice of a voice actor with a speech impediment for the con artist. In late episodes, there’s more promotion of the business of one of the podcast makers, which I found a distraction but maybe no less than the usual ads.”
