In this episode, we welcome Zach Bitter. Zach is an American ultra-marathon runner, most notably known for breaking the 100-mile world record. He holds world records for the 100-mile run (track) and the 12-hour run (track). Bitter claimed both records with his performance on August 24, 2019. He also currently co-hosts the "Human Performance Outliers Podcast" with Dr. Shawn Baker. We discuss his journey into endurance sport and how he found that longer the race the better he performed. We touch on how he fuels his body for performance and recovery, and how his training has changed through-out this years.
