I just wanted to leave some honest feedback and I hope I’m not the first person to mention this …. I love the podcast. It’s very interesting. However, the recorded audio is so low that it’s difficult to hear the hosts. Even if I turn my volume up all the way It is still very low.

I admire this ambitious undertaking by 2 bright ordinary guys. What the podcast lacks in a systematic approach, it makes up in the sincere efforts of the hosts to assimilate a vast range of disparate thought. I do think that if one is going to try to define modern American conservatism, one has...Read full review »

Thanks for doing the podcast-I enjoy listening to your educational commentary. I begun bouncing around picking Episodes (10 or so) of interest but decided to go back to E1 and make a study of conservatism using the podcast as a study guide. To see how far we have fallen from 1960 Goldwater, to...Read full review »

Looking forward to you branching out as that will be different and new, but really enjoy the original premise of the podcast. Excited to see what y’all come up with, keep up the great work!

I’m writing a paper on Schmitts friend enemy distinction and this podcast helped me understand it so much better. Hopefully I get a good grade LOL

A good selection of conservative thinkers from a Christian perspective; the podcast leaves out the Judeo from the Judeo-Christian foundation of the West. The G-d of creation is also the G-d of revelation at Sinai, and the G-d of redemption of Israel and of the world. For instance, the first...Read full review »

Enjoyed episode 47 but this has been tainted by false information about modern day China. That moving from a village to a city in China etc is prohibited by law. This is completely false. My girlfriend relocated from her village in China to Shanghai and doesn’t know anything about any limitations...Read full review »

I have listened to this podcast for a good while now. I can’t remember what I searched for that brought up the results with this podcast on my phone, the show was still pretty new then, but I have really come to appreciate how different than most conservative outlets this podcast is. I love that...Read full review »

I’m addicted! I’ve listened to the first two seasons in about two weeks. What will I do when I catch up?

I appreciate the knowledge and perspective on all current political issues

Very enjoyable. Appreciate the wide ranging selection of texts and seriousness of approach and discussion. Would be very interesting if every once in a while to have a proponent of a text/theory/ perspective/theorist invited on for a debate. For example, the Marcuse discussion was great, then...Read full review »

The podcast I had been craving for for several years where educated, articulate and dispassionate reviewers fairly critique and analyze books (mostly) from a conservative tradition—books some of which I had never heard of. Highly recommended for anyone of any political persuasion.

The Conservative Minds is an excellent podcast, this and the Worthy house are a source for books I want to read. The commentators are intelligent and have excellent insights in their reviews. This is a must listen for any right wing listeners.

With so many conservatives scared to speak or only speaking in extremes, it is nice to hear a conservative message delivered with tact. This podcast is kind of like NPR in tone. However, unlike NPR, it is highly unlikely this podcast will motivate white apologists to give themselves a pat on the...Read full review »

This is a moderate and mostly thoughtful consideration of the politics of our day from a conservative perspective, but none the less balanced. It strays into condescension occasionally . In the latest episode the discussion on Brexit was flawed. It was a vote to retain the right to Self...Read full review »

Excellent podcast that covers conservative thinkers from past and present. Content is presented in a rational way with no hyperbole or rhetoric. My only critique would be that they are sometimes difficult to hear. It’s almost as if they don’t speak directly into the microphone on some...Read full review »

You guys usually have a good discussion. But you sound very sophomoric on rules for radicals. This book defines the obama years and filling the swamp !

I have really enjoyed this podcast so far, as it has introduced me to writings I would not have considered “conservative” or that I just wouldn’t have looked into on my own. I would have given them 5 stars, but there were some audio issues with at least a couple podcasts, that I just can’t get...Read full review »

Interesting approach to podcast discussion. Need some loud voices and maybe some foul language (only kidding). Enjoy the shows more when I'm already familiar with the subject (i.e. Norquist). But a nice change of pace going on here. -hbpaRead full review »

Was working myself backwards from the latest episodes and enjoyed the discussion on Kirk. However, I could barely make it through the Ahmari-French episode. Now debating whether to spending any additional time listening. The presenters seemed naive regarding the broad, coordinated, vehement...Read full review »

If you're looking for genuine reflection on the movers and thinkers that shaped the modern conservative movement of the twentieth century, this is an excellent resource.
