Lovely, witty people, saying funny things about my favourite telly programme!
ITV would have us believe that Tyrone and Fiz are the new Jack and Vera, but WE all know that it's actually Michael and Gemma... Henpecked husband? Check. Fantastic warmth and chemistry? Check. Actually, that's probably where the comparison falls apart - teetotal Michael's impressive work ethic couldn't be further from permanently thirsty Jack's work-shy ways, and both he and Gemma have put in countless hours of effort on our behalf, over a period of many years, to provide our weekly fix of spoiler-free Weatherfield views, news and reviews. I feel like a comparative newcomer to the podcast, only getting onboard around episode 250, but now I can't imagine my weekend without it, and the arrival of the monthly Patreon episode is always a treat. For those of us who don't do social media, that absence of spoilers means that we can always safely listen to the show and remain blissfully ignorant about forthcoming socially-distanced road traffic accidents; quicksand-related near-death experiences; Yuletide shootings; roof collapses and poles going through faces (or not). Highly recommended for anyone who loves THE STREET (and has plenty of time on their hands!). I'll award it 5 'podcasts about a show that are actually much longer that the show itself' out of 5.Read full review »

I've been hooked on Conversation St podcast since I discovered it when I started watching Corrie last year during the Kirsty/Tyrone abuse storyline. Gemma and Michael are funny and provide a great recap (with awesome snark) each ep. Great way to get Corrie fix on the go here in the States.Read full review »

A bit like your review of the past decade. Anyway now we are only one week behind which means I have to listen...Read full review »
