This is what America needs.
Just listened to episode 1 and I feel like I have been waiting for this podcast for the past year. I often find myself thinking, who are these people who think something so different than I do? I hear "my side" calling "their side" crazy, and part of me agrees. But the other part of me is more hesitant. I can't help thinking wait, these are just people. They care about all the same things I care about, family, the economy, justice, our country. How can it be that we disagree on EVERYTHING? Or maybe that's just a line we are being sold. Maybe we don't disagree with each other as much as they tell us we do. conflict is usually profitable for somebody, after all. So then it's up to the people to reconnect the ties that make us America. America is not a country just because we have a constitution. America is the great experiment to see if a society can exist purely on its agreement to solve its issues through democracy. And to do that, we have to talk to each other. I applaud this podcast. For its bravery, for its importance, and for taking an active role in the responsibility of being an American citizen.Read full review »

These meandering conversations lack any sense of purpose because Dylan is (by his own admission) not trying to accomplish anything with them.
