I’d love to hear more podcasts from you. I listened to Convicted years back. You are a fantastic narrator.

I was moved almost to tears numerous times while listening to this. Brooke’s history as a social worker made her the perfect host for this, looking at the case from all angles, with Rachel’s input complimenting her work. While I don’t think Richard received a fair trial, I just couldn’t see how...Read full review »

Face it Brooke. You’re ignoring obvious red flags. He was being followed so he drove down a secluded street AND GOT OUT??! Stop it. If you have a toddler with you and someone is following you, you do not get out and confront an angry driver. This sounds exactly like Diane Downs. A stranger points...Read full review »

The writing is fantastic even if the reading sounds like exactly that, a reading. But the content, research and thought provocation more than makes up for it.

this is probably my favorite podcast i’ve listened to. i was absolutely heartbroken to hear of richard’s passing, i believed him to be innocent and at the least deserving of a new trail. i’m so excited to hear more content on this case

At minimum he deserved a new trial. RIP to his daughter Aja

Love the show but can’t access episodes 6-end of season one. The web pages linked won’t even load.

I am so sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. I truly thought he was wrongfully convicted and would one day walk free. I look forward to the updates you referred to in your 2/24/2021 update.

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. Brooke is a great host. She does an incredible job telling the story. She’s really descriptive and really does her homework on the case. Hopefully you enjoy as much as I did.

This podcast is a must listen! Brooke does an amazing job and telling the details, staying balanced, showing all signs, flushing out the details and keeping it entertaining. I really love this podcast!

Deserves 5 stars across the board. Great reporting, true research, honesty and compassion, life isn’t fair but justice can be accomplished one story at a time

This is a great podcast. Bringing awareness to a matter that needs to be discussed in an entertaining way.

you did an amazing job on season 1. the research is thorough, your opinions and theories are thought-provoking, but most important you humanized richard and the possibility that he has, in fact, been wrongfully convicted. you rock! p.s., oddly enough i really enjoyed the cricket sound effects in...Read full review »

This is a great podcast! Brooke does an excellent job at sharing the stories of others who have experienced social injustices and shedding light on the underlying issues in the process. Brooke acknowledges that her background is a stark contrast to the individuals behind the stories being told;...Read full review »

Love the podcast! Season 1 was amazing. Starting season 2 And had to laugh at the comparison of not being able to find info on the internet of a 19 year old black woman shot by gang members and finding so much info on Nicole Brown Simpson is a bit ridiculous. A millionaire murdered by her ex-pro...Read full review »

If you’re looking for a thorough, unbiased, informational podcast, this is NOT it. The host can be easily compared to a privileged little white girl who grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Yet she reports on season 2 like she has any clue at all about the African American struggle in our...Read full review »

It sounds like the monotonous host has a bad cold or allergies not to mention the horribly exaggerated vocal fry. She should keep her day job as podcasting clearly isn’t for her.
BridgetteM via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/16/19
Very sad case, but I’m left at the end wanting more. There was a real lack of evidence on either side of this case frankly. Nothing was introduced swaying me to think Richard didn’t do it. It seems that information isn’t available. It always bothers me in cases where the defense points the finger...Read full review »

I love this podcast and the way Brooke tells these men’s stories. I pray that one day all her hard work and the light she’s shed will bring true justice for all involved in these tragic stories.

This podcast is very, very well done! Brooke, the host, is eloquent in her speaking, nonjudgmental, and factual. You can sense she has developed an attachment to this story, rightfully so. She owns her opinions, but also states facts. She explains unfamiliar terms and interviews very helpful...Read full review »

Brilliant!! I hope justice prevails aswell. You have a great voice but more importantly a great heart, my goal is to be a part of a team working to overturn wrongful convictions. I’m in England so luckily we don’t have as many as the US having said that, 1 wrongful conviction is too much x

After listening to this podcast.. nothing that you said about this case.. has made me think this man is innocent.. either you left stuff out or maybe you lack the skills to investigate the case for the podcast

I could listen to her all day. Her way or speaking, sentence structure and the fact that she doesn’t say “like” or “you know” makes her a pleasure to closely follow. She is passionate and sincere. And obviously very smart.

I was pleasantly surprised by this podcast. Brooke you told these stories in a fantastic way that captivated me. I’m a die hard true crime podcaster. I HIGHLY recommend Brooke’s Conviction podcast from the floor of walk in closet!!!

Shame on all of the reviewers who make fun and mock the perfectly lovely Brook and her wonderful reporting.

I have to say Brooke ranks in my top three of podcast delivery voices. She has a way of delivering the story that is not only thought provoking but also open ended enough to allow you to paint your own picture before she ever tries to “box it in” for you. Even at that point she clearly states...Read full review »

I really love this podcast! There is some simplicity in the storytelling, but I think it helps navigate complex subject matter. There were many episodes that made me stop and think about our justice system and my preconceived ideas on various things. I truly appreciate Brooke’s time and efforts!

Excellent work.... thoughtful and reflective. The negative reviews say more about the reviewers than the host. Really enjoyed this. Most people don’t understand the ‘system’ and how broken it is. I am scared how easy it would be to get caught up in the system and get wrongly convicted.

You can feel the passion and heartfelt empathy Brooke has in her Podcast. She’s intelligent and driven and I got hours of entertainment from her hard work. The hosts Brooke and Demarchoe are awesome, and I love their genuine friendship.
