I listen to podcasts constantly throughout the day and there’s no better one for me than this one. It’s both entertaining and incredibly inspiring.

I know Barry Cooper from his work on LUTHER: THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF THE GERMAN REFORMER, and Ligonier's SIMPLY PUT podcast- both are outstanding. This has been a great discovery. These guys have a slightly different cultural perspective as Brits, yet share convictions with me as Reformed...Read full review »

The host summed it up perfectly “come for the accents and stay for the theological insights”.

I have been listening to this Podcast since it’s start and it is - and always has been! - one of my favourites. The ‘words’ are accessible without being trivial or patronising (huzzah!), and Cooper and Cary are actually quite funny too. They’ve cut out a lovely little niche for themselves in the...Read full review »

What can I say? I enjoy the mix of theology, cultural observations, banter and book/movie recommendations. The humor, British accents and obvious friendship among the hosts makes listening extra enjoyable. The negative is that it makes me long for more frequent conversations with my own friends,...Read full review »

These guys are great. They are just very good conversationalists. And very thoughtful about the intersection between faith and culture. And occasionally laugh out loud funny. Well worth subscribing and well worth catching up on the extensive library.

Great—two guys talking about stuff you’re interested in (assuming you’re a Reformedish Christian with readerly and perhaps comic tastes) but in the British pronunciation.

After operation northwoods being declassified, it is not too far fetched to be a conspiracy theorist. But you know what, I didn’t run out of TP .

A pal recommended this podcast to me, in the very early days of me listening to podcasts... and it was the start of a binge of the episodes up to that point (I know, I know, should we be bingeing them, is that biblical etc etc (I spun them out, don’t worry)) and it has been such a blessing to...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this pair have words since they started (the podcast at least!) and in the last few months, every episode has been top notch (which I feel could be a James expression?)! Been listening for a year now and this podcast never fails to be interesting and funny. More than that, though, it’s culturally insightful and encourages me in figuring out engaging with the world around me as a Christian.

Comedy, theology, deep thought, inane observations, British accents, Cooper and Cary bring it all in the format of two friends and sometimes guests talking about life and the things that matter to them.

I love listening to C&C chat about a number of different topics that I often ponder myself and appreciate their insights on. I really look forward to listening every time a new episode drops. The humour is great as well! Keep casting lots more pods our way boys!

I really enjoy listening to these two discuss faith and culture. Nothing really heavy but they also don’t shy from going deep. A good balance. I appreciate the dry humour too. Well done Cooper and Cary! I enjoy your words. :)

I look forward to this biweekly podcast. Cooper and Cary have refreshing outlooks on current events and culture in which their knowledge of the Bible and church history really shows. The sound effects (if that’s the right podcast terminology) are pretty epic as well 😄.

You guys crack me up. You teach me. Expose me to different thought processes. Your my people! If I were with you to talk about all you talk about, I’d cave. Stimulating conversations as Barry & James chat about theology, society relationships & the weather - with a ‘thinking aloud’ sort of feel. Just found this after James Cary was on unbelievable. I’ve started at the beginning and have loved it. Reminds me of conversations with my friends where we bring up books, music, and movies we are consuming and how they relate to our faith. Keep up the great work guys.

It’s rare for me to find a podcast that doesn’t annoy me at some point or another- this one does not. I discovered this podcast about a year ago and am ashamed to say i never left a review. Heard your episode on the brant and sherri oddcast and now this has become one of my favorite podcasts. I am an American and a Floridian, so i’m probably just fooled by the accents.
