This Friday, March 25th, marks the 111th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. Over a hundred garment workers died that day in Greenwich Village. Historians say many more people could have survived the 1911 fire were it not for the sweatshop's poor safety conditions.
