a lovely series I just now came across. The narrators knowledgeable, sensitive to the artists they are revealing to us—mozart’s life and music beautifully told.

The podcast format is a great medium for combining both words and music. Wish there were more episodes? Seemed like more composers were planned according to the intro. Please continue and do more composers! Also, please put the pieces mentioned in each episode under the show notes for each...Read full review »

I’m an amateur pianist, frequently playing his music. This series is the Best ever, learned so much about Rachmaninov and helped me understanding his music better.

Top notch production on the Rachmaninov series. A perfect blending of history, biography, and musical analysis. Would love to see a Chopin series in the future!

Just finished the Rachmaninoff series and was so delighted with the storytelling and presentation. Truly worthwhile. On to Mozart now. I am so sad though that it appears that there are not any more in this series. I want to hear much, much more! Thank you for brightening my day.

This series is better than most of the audio books I’ve listened to about Mozart’s life. Truly! The insights were keen, and the enthusiasm with which the shows were...Read full review »

The blend of music and history is enchanting. As is the charming chemistry between Carla and Scott. They have a great, respectful dialogue that makes me want to learn more about the beautifully tortured lives of the composers they cover.

As an amateur classical musician with a day job, I don’t currently have the time to read about the composers l love and to better understand their compositions. This podcast is refreshing and eye opening. Thanks for doing this and I hope you can continue for a long time to come.
