“I have been fascinated / obsessed by true crime stories for years. I used to be a little embarrassed about it, but I’ve discovered I am certainly not alone. I’ve listened to other podcasts, and this is definitely a favorite of mine !! On days like today, after listening to stories about the senseless deaths of Alex Radita, Maryam Rashidi and Lukas Strasser-Hurd, I promise myself I will take a break, it’s all too much. I remember in 2017, after the Las Vegas shooting, I was so heartbroken about people being senselessly murdered just for enjoying a concert, it all just seemed pointless and unfair. Then I noticed something. After that tragedy, there was a tremendous effort to highlight the heroes on that day, and the good, innocent people that were lost. Good people saved the lives of people they had never met, good people died to protect ones they loved, and the people of Las Vegas lined up for blocks to donate blood. There were miracles in the midst of the tragedy. And, evil needs darkness to spread but love can overcome evil every time. Thank you for telling these stories, it reminds me that there is darkness and light and the more love there is, the less room there is for hate.”
