“After listening to the most recent episode, I feel very sorry for Canadian citizens. You should never, EVER, be arrested and charged for defending yourself in your own home. This poor man was attacked by a stranger that had been removed from his property two prior times. After defending himself from a brutal attack, having surgery for his wounds and being hospitalized, he was arrested and jailed! This is appalling to me. I’m also disgusted by the lenient sentences given to violent offenders in Canada. Some of these people serve very little time and get out of jail, only to reoffend. Say what you will about the US, but we have much better laws on self defense and much harsher sentences for violent offenders.”
