Much as I have enjoyed these interviews, the lack of acknowledgement of how the privilege of both Andy and his guests has been the foundation to the successful survival of their crisis is baffling. The latest episode with Aitkin was the epitome of this.

Too much back slapping from you for your friend Michael Gove, the mastermind of so many policies that have done nothing to help the electorate.

Fell upon this podcast and grateful that I did. I’ve been working my way through the ‘back catalogue’ and every, single, podcast I’ve have the pleasure to listen to has been outstanding. Looking forward to listening to them all. Thank you for your work.

Sir Anthony mentioned something that got me thinking, when he was talking about a ship sinking and why some survive and many don’t. As ex Military it got me thinking about the Andy McNab interview as we both went through similar teachings on surviving. I remember being lecture to by ex prisoners...Read full review »

Your podcast has been tucked away in my library for awhile, decided to listen today and heard you chat to Jeremy Bowen. Love love love this, what a very listenable man he is, must be down to his brilliant interviewer! Can’t wait to listen to the rest x

Andy Coulson has the gift of allowing his interviewees to talk - without trying to insert himself into the centre of the conversation. His journalistic training allows him to ask short but deep questions and then allows his guests to answer them in depth . I’ve been consistently moved by the...Read full review »

Different to ‘The Rest is Politics’ but equally as good-so much so, that I cannot wait for the next update What I would like, is a podcast that challenges the claims from either side-for instance, we could/should have insulated 6 million homes (Labour) - really? How long does it take to...Read full review »

Bit late to the party but able to binge listen and be amazed and in awe of how people have managed to survive their ‘crisis’. Unable to say so far which episode has been the most awe inspiring one, but able to say it was not the one with Piers Morgan. I think he could do with listening to all of...Read full review »

Coulson's warm, compassionate approach brings out the genuine, the humanity, the vulnerability in those he interviews while ensuring they retain their dignity, self respect and self worth. This is one of the best podcasts in the ether. The Fergal Keane episode is perhaps the very best of an outstanding series of interviews. Compassionate, searching and fundamentally kind, Coulson stays in the background but does us all a great service with this piece of work. Thank you.

Anyone who can get Mark Sedwill, Nile Rogers and Jenni Murray (amongst many others) to talk about their personal experiences with life’s challenges is doing something right! Andy’s interview style results in some very honest and open (and often very funny) responses! Really worth a listen.
