Great stories told well. However, the producer is very annoying. She does not contribute anything of value to the storytelling. She doesn’t say much - but how and what she says is awful. Please just leave her out….

Well researched, interesting, in depth, experienced perspective on cases. If you don’t care for Nancy Grace’s bombastic style, and her rude approach with her guest experts, why listen? I choose not to. Why give her free press discussing her over and over on your own show?

This podcast, along with Paper Ghosts are my favorites to listen to. I’ve read quite a few of his books and watched his TV shows..he truly cares about the victims and their families. A must listen to for true crimes fans.

Like him better on the other show! With her, it’s just too giggly and feels disrespectful! She adds nothing worthwhile and is annoying! And she smacks of disrespect given what is being told here! The cackling is irritating!

I love the podcasts Phelps has done. Paper Ghosts is really great. You can tell how passionate he is for bringing justice to families and victims. However, the level of disrespect his producer has towards victims is horrible. She makes jokes at their expense and I can’t imagine how a family...Read full review »

I enjoy the story telling format of the show. Makes for an interesting listen

I really enjoy ( if that is the right word when the subject matter can be so awful) these podcasts. Well researched and the perfect length to get a good sense of the key points in the case.

But I have one weird thing that has bothered me for years about him! Why does he consistently introduce himself as M. William Phelps, then tell people “call me Matthew.” Why not introduce yourself as Matthew Phelps or even Matthew William Phelps? I know this is petty, but it is a quirk I can’t...Read full review »

I’m listen to a lot of true crime and this guy is the best! He’s so considerate to the families and isn’t afraid to say how he feels about the failings of the justice systems which I appreciate so much! Absolutely my new favorite! IMO
I loved the earlier stuff, and thought the cross talk with Katherine was fun, but lately, there seems to be a lot of rant instead of story telling. Will continue to listen for a while hoping to get back to the previous journalistic style. Sorry Phelps

MW Phelps is in a league of his own! Follow everything he does. Do not waste your time with the plethora of amateur offerings, Phelps is all you need.

I like this podcast, but wish he’d stop pushing the producer on us. I skip through their banter 90% of the time, she’s too much. I do like the content and feel like he knows his stuff.

I love this podcast. Phelps has been doing the work for years and it shows. He’s always so considerate of the victims and their families. He’s got contacts in all areas of true crime so always gets the scoop. I listen to all of his other podcasts because I love the way Phlelps tells the story and...Read full review »

Decent podcast - pleasant voice, well written and recorded. But this guy is so self absorbed he can’t help but make it about him sometimes. Typical yank. The parts when he’s not talking about himself are really good though.

I came over from Paper Ghosts which I love. This podcast is good too but Phelps really brings it to life. I have to agree with the other listeners that the less we hear from the producer, the better. Have to unfollow since you started bashing LISKs wife. She has cancer, lost her main source of income and health insurance, she and her children are now pariahs, she has to pay her lawyer, and she must provide a lifetime of care for her special needs son. Of course she’s going to take a $1M...Read full review »

I came here after listening to all the seasons of “Paper Ghosts”. But there’s a thing known as journalistic integrity. The last episode, the “editorial” throws that right out the window. Until there’s a conviction, publicly taking a stance one way or the other on the person being charged makes you an entertainer, no better than Alex Jones. As for Hauerman’s...Read full review »

Was totally on board until he started bashing the wife of the LISK. Her whole world exploded, she has no support, she did nothing wrong except marry a monster, and he’s mad she’s trying to keep herself alive. Totally disgusting.

No.
The host uses every excuse to talk about himself…. Pretends to care about the victims/survivors, but it’s really just a ploy to mention himself, his family, his books, etc…

So nice to hear from You . Your work is original and appropriately centered on the Victims and Their Families. Your contributions are always meaningful.

Hello, love this show! I know that the host has a more intimate connection to the subject matter than I do. I have to say that I’m not sure I wouldn’t take the payday if put in the same situation as this man’s family. If they are struggling financially and see no other way out, I can’t blame them!

I rarely write reviews, but I need to take the time to address this producer. Please, for the love of God, stop your “chiming in”s. If you look at the bad reviews, ALMOST ALL of them are about you.
