Engrossing, shocking, heart, wrenching and yet complete with a path to optimism. Molly Hermann reveals how modern CSI is changing—albeit too slowly for those wrongly convicted. CSI On Trial opened my eyes to people putting more ‘just’ into the American justice system. Herman’s silky alto is a...Read full review »

I like tackling a different established technique every episode and I will probably look into some of them when I'm done. But what is with the Reagan ads?Read full review »

I thought I was a jaded cynic of the U.S. (In)Justice System but this blew my mind. I bet you think a defendant whose footprints match, shell casings match and handwriting matches according to “experts”. But all those are myths slanted towards false positives and carried on by careerists. I...Read full review »

The forensic “science” is just theory, and NOT science. This show is so fascinating, and I cannot wait to learn more! It serves as a primer for anyone who gets involved in the criminal justice system, whether as a juror, press, lawyer, judge or defendant. Listen to it!

This is well presented and clearly sets out the problems with the science behind what we often take as infallible methods that claim to offer conclusive evidence.

A well researched and entertaining look at the pseudoscience behind a lot of forensics. I always thought things like bite mark IDs seemed sketchy but it’s interesting to hear the story behind these things. Highly recommend!

But it begins by stating a conclusion and picking the information they want to fit their theory.

I found this podcast by accident and am already hooked. I hold an MSc in Forensic Psychological Studies and wrote my thesis on how Offender Profiling, a forensic science discipline loved by Hollywood, has basically zero proper scientific credibility. I do hope this podcast will cover profiling...Read full review »

Bunk science needs to be debunked… people’s lives (and that of their families) depend on solid science and a justice system that upholds it.
