Feedback from a loyal listener
I like the topics covered in most Tenderfoot TV produced podcasts; they bring attention to subjects that might otherwise go unnoticed. However, the inexperience of the narration - the tone of the reader, because inexperienced reading is unfortunately how it comes across in listening - is dull and very obviously untrained. Having listened to nearly all of the Tenderfoot TV podcast productions, this is a theme throughout. The entirety of the story is narrated, as though a news piece is being produced. I would suggest, in the case of deep, investigative podcasts, that you are dealing more with a documentary-style production. If the host or interviewer is NOT professionally trained & experienced in voiceover/narration, don't include a constant first-person narrative. Descriptive aspects can be included in other ways. The intonation of the host/interviewer in the voiceover is actually distracting (me, anyway) from the excellent research & interviews. I want to hear genuine tones, like when the parties are speaking to each other in conversation. That tells the real story, and the depth of how affecting it is for those involved. TL;DR: The Interviewer or Host doesn't need to narrate everything.Read full review »

But now, thanks to platforms like this, stories like Christian’s can be told. This is first rate storytelling and reporting....Read full review »
