Today’s episode was so good! The discussion of women in vegetative state becoming wombs. So frightening. Read Kazuo Ishigura’s book Never Let Me Go. A dystopian look at society and certain people who live to grow “spare parts” for the chosen. We are getting closer to this in society. We should be...Read full review »

While I wasn’t adopted, my father grew up without his father and never really knew much about him. Ancestry DNA helped me find him and also my father’s half siblings-who were so open and wonderful. We now see each other several times a year and I’m so lucky to have found them. I’ve done genealogy...Read full review »

First the hosts have a great conversational style which makes it Very easy to listen to. I’m not adopted or an NPE but my father is (NPE); however, the stories are still relatable and entertaining. I also like the discussions focused on the DNA aspect.

I just finished bingeing all the episodes and it has been great. So much fun for gen geneas. There’s a charming rapport between Julie and Rich (though sometimes a tad bit over much chit chat off topic). I live the “from the trenches” updates.

These two have a great sense of ha-ha and the banter is great. Love to listen. They do sidetrack themselves at times, but always manage to get back to the topic at hand.

I love this podcast. Oddly I only found it at the beginning of the pandemic and binge-listened. It was absorbing and helped blunt the impact of all of the insanity. Anyway - now I am caught up and eagerly await each new episode. As an adoptee the topic really resonates with me. I love how...Read full review »

Love the show. My parent was adopted. While searching for her parentage, I discovered that I was an NPE. It’s been a DNA rabbit hoke of secrets. The tips and tricks have helped uncover so much, and the stories help process the discoveries.

DNA driven ancestry research is challenging classic records research in a big way. Groups like the Mayflower Society for years have insisted on birth, baptism, marriage and death certificates and then awarded certification to “proven” descendants. Meanwhile, consumer DNA testing has become so...Read full review »
