Don’t worry about the length of each ep or series. Dan’s conversational style, like a long yarn around a fire with old friends gradually immerses you in to the epic stories of great human events that have framed human civilisation. It is not dry narration of events, instead it try’s to bring a...Read full review »

The “Supernova” series took a while but like all the others, delivers upon arrival.

This program is just incredible. I can’t get enough. Dan Carlin makes history so dang engaging without sacrificing nuance or being deeply informative. I’d add another star if I could!

Lovely, knowledgeable, in-depth, entertaining. One of the best podcasts out there. Also if you don’t like hearing other people’s thoughts and positions as well as their thoughts on the morality of it, maybe you should find something other than podcasts. Excellence!

I wish you’d put out more of these but with the level of detail you go into on the subject you’ve chosen I understand why we only get two or three a year. I wish I had a teacher while I was a kid with your knowledge of history.

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History is magnificent. The episodes are exceptional in every way. They are well written, Dan’s voice is the quintessential podcast voice, and they tell a story over hours. As every episode ends, I want to immediately start the next. While I’m listening I am enthralled. ...Read full review »

Great History Podcast. The wait between episodes has gotten a little absurd- its like 7 months now since last one. And the last one was a bit Woke, sort of moralizing that Ive never heard from Dan before. But overall still very good.

I stopped taking him seriously when he tried to equate the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the numerous atrocities the Japanese military committed against the Chinese people.
