I agree with those who thought the story should have just been narration. You could tell just from the very beginning when the actor had to talk to himself to set the scene that it was going to be bad. His fake panic almost made me stop it there. Against my better judgement, I kept listening. It...Read full review »

I've been checking out a few different audio dramas lately and this is one to skip. The first chapter seemed interesting, but in the end it goes nowhere. There is no resolution at all. I agree with another reviewer that the guy who was crying all the time is really grating on the nerves. I'd...Read full review »

Great production quality and well acted, but the story is just so boring!

I like David Moody so when I saw this, I listened while grading school papers. I was very interested and enjoyed it. It was quick-paced, almost too fast but I enjoyed it.

Not sure what happened to the rest of the story.... Liked the way the undead "evolved" over time.

First, I want to note that episode 2 is missing so I had to google: darker projects autumn to stream it. Second, the episodes say 1 of 5 through 6 of 5. This was a good audio production of David Moody's Autumn, for which there are 9 sequels and a movie by the same name. As a fan of zombies...Read full review »

Boring and missing an episode. I had to keep fast forwarding through the episodes hoping to get to a good part. I didn't get to one. Then it ended. That is the only thing that made it good. It was over. Don't call this anything to do with zombies. They don't really eat anyone until the end. No...Read full review »

This is an awesome zombie story and I have listened to this audio drama so many times I have lost count. The only issue I have is a technical one. Every episode is uploaded except for episode 2. Please include this episode soon so the whole story will be avaliable.

I have read this book and loved it. I was very excited to hear this podcast but it just jumps from 1 to 3 and is missing quite a chunk of story. Very disappointing indeed.

This was so bad. Stopped after giving the first few a try. Voice acting was unbearably awful, production and music was distracting, story not good at all.

This podcast definitely belongs in the "horror" category - not because it is even moderately frightening, but because it is horrible. The story doesn't work well as a dramatization - that is evident in the first 5 minutes when a character walking around, talking to himself out loud is offered as...Read full review »

I'll start out by saying I read the book and the review isn't about how the book is better than the podcast. I was lucky I read the book because I would have been really lost if I had just listened to podcast series. The production value is great- I love efforts that have multiple character...Read full review »

It's OK. Apparently it's a dramatization of a book, which I've not read, so I can't say how accurate it is to the book. Voice acting isn't bad, but there are a couple of big problems. Firstly, it just ends. Does it end because the story is over? I'm not sure. It could be a stopping pont for...Read full review »

Zombie stories are a particular guilty pleasure of mine, so I had hopes for this. Unfortunately, they were not fulfilled. The first thing that tipped me off was the bizarre cast of fake accents. They were so odd and poorly done that they were actually pretty comical at times. That, unfortunately,...Read full review »

I really love the work Darker projects does. No one else takes on the scifi world in such a realistic way. Keep up the great work.

I have read all of the books in the Autumn series and I love them. And I listened to part fof the first book from his website. So seeing that I just subscribed to this podcast, I know I'll love it!!

I didn't like autumn, where I have liked other stories from darker projects. I didn't find it frightening or interesting. The story never went anywhere, I felt it stayed in the same place from episodes 2-6. The first few lines of the first episode really pulled me in and I thought it had great...Read full review »

Darker Projects has done some very nice work, so my hopes were high for this audio drama. As the first few episodes played out, I enjoyed the production values and where the story was going... but from episode 3 onward, the story stalled. Big time. I kept waiting for *something* to happen, and it...Read full review »

This is outstanding work.
onealsg14 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/29/08
Not entirely cohesive as a audio play, I found myself having to fill in where the production fell short. It seemed truncated. A simple reading might have sufficed. All that clunking around was distracting. The actors were tiring, especially the cry-baby guy and the whining doctor.

Other's have written that you can't lose with DARKER PROJECTS, and generally speaking, they are delivering amazing ensemble radio-theatre like nobody else, anywhere. The biggest critisism is that great series begin, take off like rockets and are abandoned without explanation. That's pretty...Read full review »

This story is remarkably similar to a book called Cell by Stephen King. Perhaps not the most novel story line but similar nonetheless. Either way I enjoyed both immensly!

This free podcast rendition of the David Moody's zombie story "Autumn" based in England deals with the ever entertaining story of survivors vs. zombies. However, in this story it's a bit different in that it deals with the psychological trauma and the human instinct to survive at all costs. ...Read full review »

I actually read this on my BlackBerry from the "Autumn" website. Great story! I haven't listened to the podcast yet, but I can definitely recommend this story. If you love stories of apocalyptic horror and redemption, then this is the story for you.Read full review »
